Five hours sleep in two days leads to a psychotic Slinky. After an almost-overnighter, I go home and have enough time to get excited over the fact that it’s only 5 am, I get to sleep a full hour and before I drop into bed like a stone, makeup, clothes and all. Dinner can wait til tomorrow.

An exasperating, excruxiating, nerve-wracking 6 hours later, Slinky staggers out of cowboy legalistic heaven and drops in front of her desk like a great big lump of yuck, which is just about what she’s feeling, and has the following exchange with The Boy’s Friend. Note everything is paraphrased because it’s from memory. And we all know how THAT goes.

TBF: “So did you go home last night?”
Slinky: “Oh yeah. At 4:30 am. I got to sleep for a full two hours!” (note that it was suppsoed to be an hour and a half, but I never even heard the alarm)
TBF: “A [corporate slave’s] life”
Slinky: “Yep.
TBF: “ I’ve learned that wherever you go, there’s shit. Different color, texture, but ti’s still shit.”
Slinky: “Thank you. That was inspiring. Now I have to go shoot myself in the ovaries to complete my morning.”
Slinky: “Damn. That was VISUAL? See? See what lack of lseep does to me?”
TBF: “Yes. Visual. I get it.”
And a little while later
Slinky: “My brain ahs turned into liquid. I heard Red Bull is good. Is that true?”
TBF: “ Yeah, it is!”
Slinky: “But I ehard it tastes funny.”
TBF: “It’s very sweet at first. But you get used to it. Brand’s Essence of chicken is good though.”
Slinky: “Ew! Brand’s! It tastes like someone took whatever came out of a chicken that was pressed to death. Brand’s Chicken Juice. Give me chicken soup any day.”
TBF: “It’s not that bad lah.”
Slinky: “Hello, I already have to suck dick, I am not going to drink chicken juice.”
