Say 'Thank you, Carolyn"
I used to write all the time. Works of fiction, not fact. Only two people in the world ever read any of it, and they don't share the same continent any more. It was easy back then, to let total privacy run no reins on my imagination, and to write as thou wilt. (I paraphrase; but writing is a form of love, no?)
Now with so many more people reading not fiction, but life, it gets progressively harder. This isn't the first time I've thought about closing down this blog, but it as possibly the closest I've come to actually doing it. People I've mentally closed off my life to still read what I write, and increasingly, I cannot write about the things that matter. Hence the experiment with the (much reviled) password protection.
But I was recently sent an email by a random reader who told me my writing had made me cry (in a good way, not in the "Dear god, your grammar is so bad it reduced me to tears" way). So maybe this blog will stay open a little longer. If nothing else, it's quid pro quo for those I love who aren't here with me who let me into their lives

Keep writing girl. You are skilled enough to keep things real without keeping things open.
