Off the hook?
Who would have thought that the sun would be so bright at 6:30 in the morning?
As I turned the corner to get to the main street, unexpectedly bright sunlight hit me right in the eyes. Instant blindness. I couldn't see anything except incandescent white light. When it finally cleared, the car was right in front of me. I swerved, hauling hard on Deliverance's non-power-steering-powered steering wheel and succeeded in not rear-ending the burgundy Mazda 3 but heard a scraping noise as I sheared past, my eyes wide. I could barely see, but managed to turn onto the nearest side street, my heart galloping like a mad horse.
I left a note, again. (And got told off, again, by the usual suspects. My favorite line was from Auntie N, who exclaimed, "Did you do it AGAIN? Didn't you learn anything from the last time??")
But so far, no call.
